Who are we?
Our Mission
We are an upcoming student-led environmental organisation. As students, we noticed a huge issue, where thousands upon thousands of students have been throwing away textbooks after the start of a school year.Â
We have conducted research on this issue, and we found out that almost 1/3 of students would throw away their textbooks after a school year has ended, and then they would get new books for the coming year. This means that millions of pages of paper and years of knowledge are wasted every single year in schools in Hong Kong.
We hope that through the cooperation and efforts of student communities in Hong Kong, we can bring together a more sustainable approach to sharing knowledge via textbooks. Together, we can make second-hand textbooks more widely used, saving students’ money and protecting the environment!
